Dhanda worked in Boston Scientific’s urology division, where he led a team responsible for over $100 million in annual revenue. At T2 Biosystems, he had an expansive role where he led the company’s strategy, marketing, product management and all corporate deal activity, the latter of which brought over $40 million in funding to the company. Dhanda spent 10 years at T2 Biosystems where he helped grow the company from an early-staged, venture-backed startup to a commercial, publicly-traded leader in infectious disease diagnostics where he held the role of senior vice president of corporate development and marketing. He also serves on the company’s Board of Directors.
He fired twice more, at two figures on the lawn.Rahul K Dhanda is a founder and is the president and chief executive officer of Sherlock Biosciences. As he approached the door, it swung open and he began to fire, without knowing who was there. He grabbed his gun, and heard someone shouting at him through the door. His version of the night's events was that he was watching television when he heard shots. There was evidence from Dhanda that he had been threatened by the deceased, which led him to purchase a shotgun. Bains testified that when he heard the shots, he drove by, hoping to pick up the two Jawandas, and that his car was then shot at. The door opened, and Dhanda shot the deceased in the face with two blasts from his shotgun. The deceased used the bat to smash windows in the house. Indebir Jawanda used the hammer and crowbar to damage vehicles in Dhanda's carport. This led Jawanda, his cousin, Indebir Jawanda and Bains to go the Dhanda's house armed with a baseball bat, crowbar, and hammer. On the night Jawanda died, Gary Sidhu, one of Dhanda's friends, smashed a window of Jawanda's vehicle. He appealed his conviction on four grounds but his conviction was upheld by the British Columbia Court of Appeal.ĭhanda and Jawanda, and their friends, had been involved in an escalating dispute involving acts of property damage. The jury convicted Dhanda of manslaughter in Jawanda's death, and acquitted him of the other charges. Sarabajit Singh Dhanda was charged with second degree murder of Jawanda, with attempted murder of Indebir Jawanda and discharging a firearm with intent to endanger the life of Amrit Bains. Kamalbir Jawanda died on September 29, 2001.
